5Amazing bass at this price level
By J. David Reynolds
I started playing bass in when it comes to 1979. I’ve been using one of these Gretsch short-scale basses for the past couple of years. The primary word that comes to mind is “playability.” I have a 1968 Fender Coronado II that’s worth a lot more, but this Gretsch plays far better. It’s just a joy to play. If you look at Guitar Center’s site, almost each reviewer rates this bass 5 stars. It’s astoundingly well-made for being this inexpensive. I’m sure there are better basses out there, but at numerous times the price of this Gretsch!

5For the price, the playability and sound can’t be beat!
By Craig Anthony Perkins
I am for the most part a Guitarist/Drummer/Synth player but necessitated a cheap bass for recording (trying to bogus a real bass on synth is just not cutting it any more! Nor is simulating a bass with a guitar and detuning it in software.)

I did a heap of searches online for a good cheap bass and this Gretsch Junior Jet held coming up with great reviews and 5 stars. Unfortunately it’s not even on Gretsch’s internet site so it may be discontinued, but I went down to my local Guitar Center and asked for it anyway. As they checked their scheme the guy cited he doesn’t recall anybody genuinely buying these. He then found in their inventory in a literal sense the only one they had, hanging way up on a wall in the back of the store, seemingly forgotten. It was very dusty as if it had been untouched for years. I plugged it into a bass amp and without delay was astonished at how well it sounded and how easy it was to play! It was even pretty much in tune after just hanging there for so long. I without delay purchased it; for such a low price, you will not find a better playing or nicer sounding bass in my opinion.

The only issue I have now is finding a case for it. Other than that, I’m loving this bass so much I’m thinking of starting a new band just so I may play bass in it! And again I will have to emphasize how outstanding the sound is. Do not be gulled by the price; this bass uses a classic TV Jones pickup just like you find in the higher-end Gretsch guitars and basses (look up who TV Jones is and you’ll see why his pickups are awesome!)

5Cool little POS
By Jeremy Nenadal
My friend has one of thes guitars.. I’m actually gonna undertake and score it off him! They playability is phenominal.. Action is great, and it sounds finelooking good too. I love the look and the fact that it feels like a real guitar different from galore other basses I picked up. Gretsch didn’t cheap out on any featuer that Im conscious of on this bass. I’ve been playing 16 years, so I know what I’m talking about. The body is a thick, solid wood piece, and the neck feels good in my hands.. I may rip on my rick, but this thing.. I rip 2x fast!
